Virual Event

Mastering Your Adult ADHD was the first evidenced-based cognitive behavioral therapy
program developed by a leading group of clinical investigators with support from the National
Institute of Mental Health. This program helps adults with ADHD learn skills to help deal with
hyperactivity, impulsivity, and difficulty focusing attention. Core modules on organizing and
planning, reducing distractibility, and adaptive thinking are included, as well as a module on
reducing procrastination and handling slip ups. An optional group educational session about
ADHD is provided for the partner or spouse of each participant to promote better understanding
and harmony in relationships.
*Group participants meet weekly for a total of 14 group psychoeducational sessions on ZOOM
*The group process is active-each session will have an agenda, homework review, skill
development, and dynamic discussion.
* Participants will work on one skill at a time. Practice in-between sessions is highly important.
* Participants will have weekly homework from the client workbook.
*Weekly monitoring of progress will be measured from the use of the “ADHD Current Symptom Scale
All incoming participants must complete a brief prescreening interview with Dawn to go over the
program requirements and expectations and to make sure it is a good fit.
